MARK KOSTABI
Mark Kostabi is a world famous visual artist, pianist and composer, a leader in the artistic group of the East Village (New York).
His paintings are to be found in the main contemporary art galleries and museums around the world.
As a part of his multidimensional artistic work he also made covers for a Guns'n'Roses disc, designed for Swatch and for several computer accessories. His music has been performed by several world renowned orchestras.
After "I did it Steinway" (1998) this is his second album.

"Songs for Sumera" contains eleven compositions for piano and orchestra composed by noted painter, composer and pianist Mark Kostabi.
The orchestrations are by Lepo Sumera and the performance is by the internationally acclaimed Estonian National Symphony Orchestra directed by Kristjan Jarvi, with Maano Manni as solo violinist and Mark Kostabi on piano.
The performance was recorded at the Hall of the Merchant Guild in Tallinn in the year 2000.
In the CD format, this Amiata production presents Kostabi's precious music together with an elaborate hardcover CD-sized book with fold-out pages of more than 50 of Kostabi's paintings.
